This is being imposed without consultation or discussion with the staff and students. The Pop-Up Union has been formed by staff as a way to come together in opposition to privatisation and outsourcing. It is open to all workers on campus &#8211; whether you\u2019re one of the 235 or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pop-Up Union is not a rival to existing recognised unions but a complement. It is the aim of the Pop-Up Union to encourage worker solidarity by bringing all workers on campus under one umbrella. Dues are set low to encourage dual membership and avoid duplication of functions with existing unions.
